Langstane Housing Association is a charitable Housing Association which was founded in 1977 to provide affordable rented accommodation to single people. Although Langstane is still committed to addressing the needs of single people it now also houses couples and families. As a charity, it is committed to providing housing at rents which are affordable to those who are in housing need and who for a number of different reasons, may not be able to find other housing accommodation.
Langstane manages over 2,700 properties throughout Aberdeen city, Aberdeenshire and Moray. We operate mostly from our Head Office at 680, King Street, Aberdeen, but we also have an office at Culbard Street, Elgin, where a team of five people deliver services to our tenants and applicants in Moray and north Aberdeenshire.
As a charity, the houses we build and let to our tenants are exempt from the Right to Buy. In other words, Langstane tenants cannot buy their homes at a discount from the Association. However we do realise our tenants have changing needs and we do have another company called NEXT STEP HOMES.
