ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND OPEN DAY
23RD SEPTEMBER 2008

A warm invitation is extended to all Langstane tenants to attend the Association’s Annual General Meeting and Open Day.

As in past years, the whole office will be open to visitors from mid afternoon with workshop sessions and discussion groups on the following topics:-

1. Credit Unions – How do they operate?

Representatives from the St Machar and North East Scotland Credit Unions will be available.

2. Anti Social Behaviour – How does it affect you and what does Langstane do about it?

3. Heating Costs – How can I reduce my fuel bills?

A representative from SCARF will be on hand to give you some tips and answer questions

Before the AGM itself, there will be a session entitled “Meet the Committee” this will give tenants a chance to chat informally to members of the Committee of Management but also to ask them direct questions on the running of the organisation. Following the formal part of the AGM, the evening will conclude with a presentation by the Chief Executive of Langstane Alan Grant and his counterpart at Grampian Housing Association Alan Moat explaining the current proposals for the creation of a group structure between the two Associations.

The timetable will be as follows:-

3.00pm - Opening of office and commencement of workshops. These will last about half an hour each and will be repeated throughout the day.
6.00pm - Meet the Committee.
7.00pm - Annual General Meeting of Langstane Housing Association Ltd.
7.30pm - Annual General Meeting of Next Step Homes Ltd.
7.40pm - Langstane and Grampian Housing Associations – Group Structure presentation by Alan Grant and Alan Moat.
