Office Accommodation

As we write, progress on Langstane’s new Headquarters in King Street, Aberdeen, is proceeding apace. The Main Contractors, CHAP Construction, have finished the structure, and are getting on with the fitting out of the interior.

The building is due to be completed in June, and staff will move in to the 3 ½ storey building in July.

The move, so long looked forward to, should provide staff with a modern building in which to deliver a first class customer service. In addition to a spacious reception, good staff facilities and meeting rooms, the building also has a suite of rooms at the top of the building for more structured meetings. This includes a Board Room and an open plan area where meetings of 60+ can be accommodated. It is hoped that in addition to the use Langstane itself makes of the facilities, the new building will attract interest from partner organisations who wish to use the space and the Hi Tech presentation facilities on offer.

Langstane is 30

By coincidence, the completion of the new building coincides with the Association’s 30th birthday, the first registration having been on 27th July 1977.

It is our intention to mark both events with official and unofficial celebrations. Detailed arrangements have had to wait until after the Scottish Parliamentary and Local Government elections, but full details of our proposals will be published as soon as we can.
