**MONDAY 23 MARCH: SERVICE UPDATE** 23/03/20
As of Monday 23 March 2020 we will provide a repairs service to cover emergencies only. This relates to wind and water-tight repairs such as leaks and broken windows. Also things that affect your health and safety such as electrics and plumbing. We have a full list on our website, but please contact us if you are unsure.
We are committed to providing services to our tenants and housing applicants. However, we are taking sensible precautions to protect everyone while this virus is in the U.K. Please read this article for details about some changes to our services during the outbreak of Covid-19.
**CORONAVIRUS SERVICE UPDATE**
Since the outbreak of Covid-19 (Coronavirus), we have been monitoring the spread of the disease. We pay close attention to government advice. We will be making changes to protect our tenants, staff and contractors and help control the spread of Covid-19. We are doing our best to keep the disruption of our services to a minimum.
The following changes will start immediately and will remain in place for the foreseeable future.
Repairs – we will only do emergency repairs
These repairs are those which have a direct impact on your health or safety if they are not attended to.
This change take effect from today: Monday 23 March 2020.
If you are self-isolating or have been diagnosed with Coronavirus, we will only come to your home for emergency repairs. This is to protect our staff, contractors and the wider community.
When you contact us for an emergency repair, we will ask you the following questions:
- Have you returned from abroad within the last 14 days?
- Are you or a member of your family self-isolating?
- Have you any symptoms of a new persistent cough, fever or a high temperature or have you been diagnosed with Coronavirus?
Please be patient while we collect this information, which will allow us to respond appropriately.
When visiting you, our repair team will wear personal protective equipment to help prevent any spread of the virus.
If, after we have arranged the work, a household member is self-isolating or is diagnosed with Coronavirus please contact us as soon as practical on 01224 423000 or e mail us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will resume normal services as soon as we can.
Visits to your home – will be kept to a minimum
To keep everyone safe we are reducing the number of home visits our staff make. Your enquiries will be dealt with by phone, e-mail, or Facebook wherever possible.
Visits to our offices
Our offices are currently closed to the public until further notice.
Our staff will assist you as much as possible using alternative contact methods.
An important message about your rent
Please remember you must continue to pay your rent and keep up to date with your Universal Credit Journal, making changes as necessary (especially your rent changes from 1st April 2020).
