Recently the senior management team at Langstane Housing Association considered a request from AberNecessities to provide sponsorship for Christmas Eve boxes. These will be distributed to local families who are struggling. Given 2020 has been such a difficult year and AberNecessities was staff’s charity of choice last year, a £350 donation in lieu of sending Christmas Cards was approved.

The charity aims to support local, underprivileged families in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire with the essential items they need to care for their babies and children.
Danielle Flecher-Horn, AberNecessities Founder said "This incredibly kind support from Langstane Housing will allow us to create a truly special Christmas for so many children across our city and shire. Sadly, 2020 has been memorable for all the wrong reasons and we want to change that as best we can by getting our little ones into the festive spirit early by gifting a little bit of Christmas magic. Thanks to funding and kindness such as this we can make a real difference to a child's overall wellbeing and happiness by providing them with special memories."
Helen Gauld, Chief Executive at Langstane Housing Association said “We are all delighted that AberNecessities is able to use our modest donation to help so many families, bringing them a little bit of festive cheer in what has, for many people, been a very difficult year.”
