The Scotland Social Housing Fuel Support Fund was an emergency fund to support households in vulnerable situations. Especially during the COVID-19 outbreak; to support adequate energy supplies for health and wellbeing; and to help households avoid self-disconnection.
The fund was launched by the Scottish Government in recognition of the added burden COVID-19 is having on some households, who may struggle to pay their fuel bills due to loss of income or increased energy/fuel use.

The project only ran a short time but the Langstane Housing Support Service managed to source just over £4,500 to support tenants with fuel poverty. This money was paid out either as top up vouchers or cash. A few lucky tenants were able to get their utility bills cleared off.
The fund is now closed and funding no longer available from this source.
