We are committed to providing services to our tenants and housing applicants. However, we are taking sensible precautions to protect everyone during the current lock down. Please read this article for details about some changes to our services.
**CORONAVIRUS SERVICE UPDATE**
Since the outbreak of Covid-19 (Coronavirus), we have been monitoring the spread of the disease. We pay close attention to government advice. We will be making changes to protect our tenants, staff and contractors and help control the spread of Covid-19. We are doing our best to keep the disruption of our services to a minimum.
The following changes remain in place during the current lockdown period.
Repairs – we will only do emergency repairs.
These repairs are those which have a direct impact on your health or safety if they are not attended to.
Please continue to report repairs in your normal manner.
When you contact us for an emergency repair, we will ask you the following questions:
- Have you returned from abroad within the last 14 days?
- Are you or a member of your family self-isolating?
- Have you any symptoms of a new persistent cough, fever or a high temperature or have you been diagnosed with Coronavirus, or are you awaiting test results?
Please be patient while we collect this information, which will allow us to respond appropriately.
When visiting you, our repair team will wear personal protective equipment to help prevent any spread of the virus.
If, after we have arranged an appointment to carry out work, a household member is self-isolating or is diagnosed with Coronavirus, or awaiting test results, please contact us as soon as practical on 01224 423000 or e mail us on email@example.com.
Please note that any appointments delayed through these safety measures will be followed up as soon as the situation changes. We will resume normal services as soon as we can.
We will be continuing to complete gas servicing as it is electrical safety testing.
Visits to your home – will be kept to a minimum
To keep everyone safe we are reducing the number of home visits our staff make. Your enquiries will be dealt with by phone, e-mail, or Facebook wherever possible.
Visits to our offices will be by appointment only
Our offices in Aberdeen and Elgin remain closed to the public. Access is possible only when you have an appointment.
If we need to see you in person, we will be in touch to arrange an appointment.
An important message about your rent
Please remember you must continue to pay your rent and keep up to date with your Universal Credit Journal, making changes as necessary (especially your rent changes from 1st April 2021).
Paying by direct debit will make it easier. If you want to set up a direct debit or to speak to a member of staff about any other questions you may have, please phone the Association on 01224 423000.
