An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Property Services Officer within our Property Services team. This team manages the responsive repairs and voids maintenance of our properties and the Property Services Officer will play a key role in ensuring that Langstane meets its maintenance obligations and that tenants receive an efficient and professional repairs service.

Langstane Housing Association is a well-known provider of social housing in the North-East of Scotland with over 2900 properties across Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray.  Our values include the delivery of excellent services to customers, promoting continual improvement and innovation, demonstrating social responsibility and working in partnership with others.  We are passionate about ensuring our tenants live in good quality, safe, affordable homes and that they receive a high standard of customer care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out repairs inspections to diagnose faults and determine the most appropriate action to take
  • Preparing minor works tenders
  • Working with contractors to achieve repairs timescale targets and ensure repairs are ‘right first time’
  • Carrying out voids inspections, instructing works to bring voids up to lettable standard and post-inspecting to ensure a high quality of workmanship
  • Providing advice to tenants and dealing with service complaints

The role is varied and will suit someone with strong technical knowledge who enjoys meeting people and providing an excellent level of customer service. You should be organised and able to manage and prioritise a busy workload, have good IT and communication skills and work well as part of a team but with the ability to progress tasks with minimal supervision.

Langstane offers a competitive salary and a wide range of benefits including 37 days annual leave (including public holidays) and a flexi-time system.

A current driving license and access to a car for work is essential for this role
