Universal credit
By now you will have received your Annual Rent Review Letter from us.
If your housing costs are paid for by Universal Credit:
1. Keep your letter somewhere safe - you will need it in April.
2. Wait until you are sent a to-do in April called 'Confirm your housing costs'.
3. Use the information in your letter to complete the to-do before the due date to avoid problems with your payments.
You must only use the 'Confirm your housing costs' to-do to report these changes. Do not contact Universal Credit to report them any other way.
If you do not inform the DWP of your rent increase you will not get the full amount of Universal Credit you are entitled.
